Ilimar Mattus

limar began trading in 1997, specialising in futures and futures options at firms including Interactive Brokers, ADM, and R.J. O’Brien. He launched his career at SEAF, a US venture capital fund, overseeing investments in biotech, media, and manufacturing.
He serves on boards of regulated asset management firms across the FCA (UK), CySEC (Cyprus), and FSA (Malaysia). Ilimar co-founded The Trading Pit on the belief that every trader deserves a fair shot at building a career in the markets.
Ilimar Mattus has spent over 20 years in investment banking and brokerage. At The Trading Pit, he provides strategic advice and drives global partnerships — and invests directly through his family office, Pinorena Capital.
He is the co-founder of Tickmill, a global brokerage serving algorithmic traders across 150+ countries in FX, stocks, digital assets, futures, and options.
