From Lost Capital to His First Futures Reward: How Chady Learned That the Rules Were on His Side

Chady A. is 45, lives in Beirut, and works full time at a food company. For years, one question stayed with him: how could he build an income of his own, something he could rely on without depending on anyone else?

In Lebanon, where many employees have no monthly pension to build their future on, that question felt urgent. Trading became his answer, but only after it taught him some expensive lessons.

Why TTP

Chady came to The Trading Pit on the advice of his trading mentor, after a bad experience with another firm had left him wary of the whole industry. What won him over was simple: clear rules and a firm that does what it says.

"The rules are clear and nothing is hidden," he says. His certificate arrived about 15 minutes after he passed his challenge. When he requested his reward, it was in his account within roughly 20 minutes, verification included.

"Honestly, I wasn't sure until the reward reached my account. That's when I knew you are one of the few firms that keep their word."

Starting From Zero

Chady had no background in finance. "I had no idea about inflation or the economy," he admits. "I didn't even know that every asset has its own ticker symbol."

He started out trading his own money, part of it borrowed, and lost heavily. Those losses hurt, but they also convinced him of something: markets are not random. Price moves are driven by the economy, and that can be studied.

With his capital gone, his mentor pointed him toward a different path: trading with a firm's capital instead of his own. His first attempts at TTP did not go to plan. He failed a $100K account, then a $20K account. "All I could think about was how to win back what I had lost," he says. No discipline, and stop losses placed at random.

Looking back, he sees those failures differently. "Every loss taught me discipline."

The Rules That Changed Everything

The biggest shift for Chady was learning to treat the rules as a teacher rather than an obstacle. "From the moment I start a challenge, I know there are rules, and I don't get to act on impulse. That's one of the secrets of success."

He is blunt about where he would be without them. "If it weren't for the rules, I would still be reckless and revenge trading, and I would definitely still be losing. The rules make your mind think and learn, and your eyes watch."

Even the consistency rule, which he did not like at first, earned its place. "I adapted to it and understood it's there to protect me from overtrading."

His First Futures Reward

With discipline finally in place, Chady passed a Futures challenge. His first reward was $534, earned over five trading days. "I was overjoyed," he says.

Just as important was how it felt to trade without his own savings on the line. "The pressure on my mind is lower, because my gains are bigger than my losses. That is a real relief."

Keeping It Simple

Chady's approach today is deliberately simple: study the market, follow the economic news, and stick to the plan. He also sets a daily target and stops trading once he reaches it. "That's how you build a complete, profitable system."

His favorite market is the Nasdaq, because its strength follows the economy. He also trades gold, carefully, and a few currency pairs that move on clear economic reports.

If he had to sum up his success in one line, it would be this: "Discipline and respecting the rules are what make a trader successful."

What's Next

Despite his first reward, Chady still calls himself a beginner in these huge markets, and he has no plans to stop learning. "The markets are always changing," he says. His goal now is to scale up with TTP.

His advice to other traders is to choose a firm with clear, transparent rules, and then respect those rules. As for his own path, he is clear: "You are my new family, and I intend to be part of this team for good."

His answers were originally given in Arabic and have been translated and lightly edited for clarity.
