Natan B. is a scalper from Yavne, Israel, who spent two and a half years learning the markets without making money from them. Today he has collected $7,500 in Rewards with The Trading Pit, three Rewards of $2,500 each, all from a single 50K account.
“Do not give up no matter what. Keep going, keep trying. You will find your way,” he says. It is advice he earned the hard way, after nearly quitting five or six times.
From Selling Trading Systems to Trading
Natan came into trading from the sales side, selling a semi-automated trading system. Watching beginners slowly turn into profitable traders made him curious, so he took the company’s course on Smart Money Concepts and went straight into prop firm evaluations. “The dream was big at the beginning,” he says.
Why Natan Chose The Trading Pit
For Natan, the most important thing a prop firm can offer is communication. Early on, a misunderstanding about how one of the rules applied to his short trades led to a declined payout. When he went back to the support thread, the team reviewed the conversation and set him up with a new account at no extra cost. “It’s very rare in this industry,” he says. All $7,500 of his Rewards came from that account.
Two and a Half Years of Learning, Not Earning
His first years were a downward spiral. He backtested four to five hours a day and paid for evaluation after evaluation while those around him collected payouts. “I was successful at learning, but not successful at trading,” he says. What kept him going was a habit from sales: after a bad stretch, step away, reset and start fresh.
The Order Flow Turning Point
A video showing unusual green and purple bubbles on a chart introduced Natan to order flow, and to Fabio, the trader who would become his mentor. He studied it five to six hours a day, and about five months ago, it finally clicked.
The Rule That Changed His Trading
The rule behind that early misunderstanding is the one Natan now credits most. It limits how much profit can come from trades shorter than 15 seconds, which pushed him to let his setups develop. His risk to reward went from about 0.5:1 to 3:1 or 4:1, and he went from 30 to 40 trades a day to just one or two.
Risk Management First
“If I’m wrong, I want to be wrong immediately,” Natan says, borrowing a line from his mentor. He risks around $250 per trade, stops for the day after a loss of about $1,000, and runs a win rate of roughly 60 to 70%. How he finds his entries is something he shows live on screen.
